There's a new change in the schedule for the return bus. It will not return to MUC until after breakfast Saturday morning. For the few needing to make early flights on Saturday morning, there are several companies that offer airport transfer service.

Family suites are also available. There is one 6-person suite, one 5-person suite, and a few 4-person suites that provide a typical double hotel room with a loft with two twin beds.

Location
TAUERNHOF RETREAT CENTER
Tauernhof Christian Retreat Center is located in beautiful Schladming, Austria in the heart of the Alps. Schladming is about one hour southeast of Salzburg.
Tauernhof's campus is located immediately next door to the gondola station for one of the world's most prestigious ski mountains, Planai. Each day after breakfast, strap on your boots, grab your gear, and walk next door. It cannot possibly be more convenient.



Possible Excursions
Several optional excursions will be planned throughout the week; some of which will be dependent upon the weather. Each excursion typically has an additional cost which will be announced during the week.
Below is a list of excursions that we will try to offer this year.

Rodeln (Sledding)
Hop on an Austrian sled and squeal like a school kid all over again down a 5-mile run.

Snowshoeing
Get off the beaten path to explore and experience the beauty and quiet of the mountains.

Dachstein Glacier
Head up to the top of the mighty Dachstein to experience the thrilling Sky Bridge, Ice Palace, and spectacular views.

Ski Tour
Advanced skiers (must have approval) can take the 17-mile journey from Schladming to Halstatt over the Dachstein glacier.

Sleigh Ride
If the muscles are aching, spend a relaxing afternoon on a sleigh ride through farms and forests.

Schnapps Tasting
Head up the mountain to a local farm to sample a variety of schnapps flavors made right on the farm.

Make Strudel with a Local
Learn how to make authentic Austrian Apfelstrudel (apple strudel) by a local.

Factory Tours
In neighboring villages, authentic and traditional Austrian wool clothing and comfy, cozy house slippers are made. Get a head start on Christmas shopping!

Salzburg
Spend a day walking the streets of Mozart, touring the Fortress, or seeing the Sound of Music sites.

Halstatt
Experience this postcard of a village wedged between the mountains and a large lake.
